There are some places that deserve their well-earned reputation for being popular tourist destinations. And with miles of sparkling beaches and countless historical sites to explore, Malaga, Spain is certainly one of them. The area is responsible for drawing in thousands of visitors every year. But before you add the destination to your must-see list of 2015, you'll want to make sure that you dress for the occasion and know the best places to see.

Take a look at three of the hottest attractions the area has to offer, and how you can cater your wardrobe to each.

Site 1: The Pablo Picasso Museum

Better known as the Museo Picasso Malaga, the Pablo Picasso Museum holds some of his most prized pieces that you can't see anywhere else. As the birthplace of the famous artist, the museum has a personal connection to preserving his work and his memory. Take advantage of one of the guided tours to get a first-hand perspective of the pride the region has for this beloved local.

What to Wear: While you don't have to wear something super formal, you shouldn't stroll up to a monument of one of the world's best artists wearing yoga pants or a tube top (come to think of it, yoga pants should be worn for yoga class only!). Dress more on the conservative side with a nice sundress and sweater when visiting this prestigious museum. Not only is it an appropriate way to show respect for the setting, but it's also a good idea as the museum can get a bit chilly.

Site 2: Costa Del Sol

BritishAirways.com notes that some of the most popular destinations to visit in Malaga are the beaches along Costa Del Sol. The sand is bright white, and the ocean is a sparkling blue. The coast is also lined with restaurants, shops, and tapas bars to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite for the local cuisine.

What to Wear: Sport your best bathing suit while soaking in the sun. If you're strolling the beachside shops, though, you'll want to bring something more than a coverup. While you'll find plenty of food carts and outdoor bars, there are also nicer restaurants along the beach that have a stricter dress codes. A sundress and nicer set of sandals or wedges should suit most of them.

Site 3: Alacazaba and Gibralfaro

Malaga has two historic castles within its boarders, Alacazaba and Gibralfaro. MalagaTurismo.com says that although the castles' surroundings pay homage to a more modern society, the architecture and rich history of the castles serve as a window to the city's past. Use one of the guided tours to see everything the castles have to offer on the inside, and experience the breathtaking views by exploring the meticulously kept gardens on the outside.

What to Wear:
The steep hills and narrow staircases in and around the castles make them a strict no-heel zone. Save your ankles and opt for ballet flats or sandals. A flatter sole will make it easier to navigate the uneven terrain inside in addition to outside in the gardens. Complete the look with a wide brim sun hat to protect from the glare outside. It's more convenient than taking your sunglasses on and off as you repeatedly venture in and out of the dark castles.

Even though there's no better attire to sport on the edge of the sands than a bathing suit, you'll want to pack a little more than that. Use these outfits when planning your wardrobe for these Malaga hotspots, and you'll be prepared for all that this slice of paradise in the south of Spain has to offer.

Ahh, don't you just love traveling through Spain!

All photos: my fabulous boyfriend

A couple of posts back I shared that I started to prepare earlier this year with my beach wardrobe, so I ordered some new swimsuits and a beautiful Fleetwood maxi dress made out of vintage lace from   Spell Designs. At first, dress seamed way to big in size large and it does flare a bit around the back but I decided to wear it over black triangle bikini as a beach dress, without the nude cotton underdress it came with.

As I am facing a lot of changes in my life now both in my professional and personal life, this vacation although it was half work half pleasure, was much needed for me. I got solid 5-6 sunny beach days in beautiful Dubrovnik which is more then I could ask for. This year my boyfriend and I changed the beach vs. last year and went for a private little beach in hotel Palace to which only few people have the key to. We sipped morning coffee with a beautiful view of the open sea and afternoon cocktails in complete silence and had time to sleep, think and catch up on reading of our favorite books and magazines.

First couple of days I did great with protecting my skin with high factor sun protecting oils and lotions while wearing a huge black hat to protect the skin of my face. We also didn't go to the beach until around three pm. Well...until the last Friday when I decided to go to the beach earlier in the morning with my sister and spent the full day there on the sun. That wasn't so smart as although I spent most of the time under umbrella, I still got burned all over.... Now I need to find yet another bikini to match my bright red skin tone and stay away from the sun for at least a couple of days.

After a couple of days of rain showers I finally got to wear my new  Beach Babe bikini which I wrote about in earlier post  here. This bikini runs true to size, I love the side and back (of the bikini top) three straps and rushed floral bottoms. The top ended up a bit tight on me (size S) so I should have went for a size medium, while the only thing I don't like that much about the bottoms is that the inner lining turns outwards on the edges. Other then that, adorable bikini.

Are you on your dream vacation already?

Although we are officially on vacation in Dubrovnik at my boyfriends parents place we still had to lots of catch-up calls to to with friends here in Croatia, dinners, next basketball (for him) and next work fiscal year (for me) arrangements to do so there was still level of stress with preparation for best friends wedding so before traveling to Zagreb we decided to go for a short trip to a nearby island - Lopud to get away from everything and everybody for just one day.

We turned off our phones (with no feeling of regret if I may add) rented umbrellas and beach beds, got some cocktails, jumped in the sea for a bit to cool off and then read our books and played cards - heaven! My boyfriend kept saying - "OMG I needed this so bad, my cell is not ringing, it is not to hot, we need to do this more often!" I loved seeing him so happy and relaxed....we definitely need to do this more often.

Currently I am having a 'post vacation blues' and can't wait for mid August to come back here again for a second part of my vacation.

How was your Summer holiday lovelies? Did you already had yours or are you planning to go?

First time this basketball season my boyfriend and I had a free Sunday together when we didn't have to work or practice so despite the not so warm early Spring weather we still managed to spend couple of hours in this beautiful Barcelona's park.

My boyfriend came home late after midnight night before from away game so we didn't wake up today until noon, we ate big breakfast, went to have our early afternoon coffee at nearby Starbucks where we met a couple of ladies from Dubrovnik who of course took his autograph and then we finished our coffee and finally decided what closest park we will go to before it starts raining. Papi was super excited to finally have couple of hours long walk and some quality time with Ante and I.

Bellow you can see few pics I took during our lazy Sunday spent in Turo park, my favorite is the pic of the orange three. How did you spent your weekend lovelies?

Even though I come to Barcelona every month, due to the fact that I work 10-12 hrs/day and the rest of the time I am catching up on house choirs and spending good quality time with my boyfriend or supporting him at his basketball games we didn't have quite much time to explore Barcelona and its fabulous tourist spots like park Guell which we visited this past Saturday.

Neither my boyfriend nor I like to be at places with a lot of people due to the fact that I am working in communications, so I am talking and emailing every second of the day and he plays basketball so people pull his hand all of the time for autographs and photos and he is rather introverted vs. me, I am a total hyper social butterfly most of the time but when I am spending leisure time with him after work hours, I don't like to be disturbed.

Evening at park Guell or Gaudi park as they call it, with so many fascinated, at times a bit creepy Gaudi's art mixed with natural beauty of the park and gorgeous view of the city as if it was on the palm of our hands together with a glass of home made sangria surely made our weekend. We promised to each other that we will try to go and explore cultural spots of Barcelona more often rather then just stopping by our favorite restaurants and lounging at our couch.

Sunday was rather special as well, it was my boyfriends birthday but he also played a game that evening. During his morning practice and afternoon rest I closed the kitchen doors and cooked bunch of food, snakes, muffins and a cheese cake for surprise party I was throwing for him at our apartment. It was a bit hard since he was right there, but luckily, I played it cool and he didn't see it coming.

Week earlier I ordered him a huge birthday cake with his photo and happy birthday written in Croatian which I have sent to locker room after the game so he can celebrate with his teammates and I have key to the apartment to his four closest friends from the team, during his post-game press conference they managed to get to and hide in our apartment, my boyfriend and I arrived soon after and they jumped up to scare him, he was absolutely thrilled!

This was the first thing I was hiding from him since we have been together, I almost told him everything couple of times! But thanks God, I managed to keep it for myself and his party was a total success!

“Every relationship rests on three legs: accepting, supporting and challenging. That's really it, isn't it? You want your relationships to be grounded on accepting each other as you are. On supporting each other through the inevitable ups and downs. On challenging each other to become more, to grow, to flourish."

Last couple of days I have actually put everything on a side, work, fashion, even following NY fashion week, set on an airplane leaving from Budapest to Madrid at 5 am in the morning and then drove with a friend from Madrid to Vitoria on South of Spain to support my boyfriend during important tournament - Copa Del Rey (King's Cup). First game they played was against Real Madrid, club in which he played last couple of seasons and where many of his dear friends still play. This was actually a true 'finale' game as Barcelona and Real Madrid are realistically two best basketball clubs in their league.

Thankfully, my boyfriends team - Barcelona, won the first game after two quite emotional overtimes, I lost my voice cheering, I knew how much this game means to him so our friend Zoran (who took most of these photos) and I sat right behind the basket with big Croatian flag so he can see us and hear us during hardest minutes of the game. It worked! They won both of first two games and tonight they are playing in finals. If they win, and I am sure they will, this will be our second medal from Copa Del Rey in two years since we have been together.

It is hard, we both work and travel a whole lot and are often tired but one thing we promised each other is to make each other our first priority. Meaning, when we have very important or emotionally draining work event, be in something related to my blog or work or for him important game, the other person will take a first flight and come to support, no matter what.

Since the weather was quite cold and rainy and I tried to spend some time with my boyfriend in between his practices, rest breaks, media meetings and games I found just about an hour or so for a quick run around town with our friend so I stopped by Kiko and iF parfumeria to get some of my favorite beauty essentials which I didn't have time to stock up on during last busy work week.

Vitoria-Gasteiz had a really bad weather last couple of days, raining, snowing and cold, however this little town is really special by so many things. It is first in the whole Spain as per green areas and cultural places per capita, also it is second as per quality and standard of living in Spain. Southern Spain - Pais Vasco is the richest part of Spain.  This area is also known by its famous Inernational Jazz Festival.

Here I stayed at historic and comfy hotel Paradores, hotel is very close by car to city center, about 10-15 minutes, staff in general doesn't speak good English but were quite helpful and sweet, food in hotel is pricey but delicious.
