All photos: my fabulous boyfriend

A couple of posts back I shared that I started to prepare earlier this year with my beach wardrobe, so I ordered some new swimsuits and a beautiful Fleetwood maxi dress made out of vintage lace from   Spell Designs. At first, dress seamed way to big in size large and it does flare a bit around the back but I decided to wear it over black triangle bikini as a beach dress, without the nude cotton underdress it came with.

As I am facing a lot of changes in my life now both in my professional and personal life, this vacation although it was half work half pleasure, was much needed for me. I got solid 5-6 sunny beach days in beautiful Dubrovnik which is more then I could ask for. This year my boyfriend and I changed the beach vs. last year and went for a private little beach in hotel Palace to which only few people have the key to. We sipped morning coffee with a beautiful view of the open sea and afternoon cocktails in complete silence and had time to sleep, think and catch up on reading of our favorite books and magazines.

First couple of days I did great with protecting my skin with high factor sun protecting oils and lotions while wearing a huge black hat to protect the skin of my face. We also didn't go to the beach until around three pm. Well...until the last Friday when I decided to go to the beach earlier in the morning with my sister and spent the full day there on the sun. That wasn't so smart as although I spent most of the time under umbrella, I still got burned all over.... Now I need to find yet another bikini to match my bright red skin tone and stay away from the sun for at least a couple of days.

After a couple of days of rain showers I finally got to wear my new  Beach Babe bikini which I wrote about in earlier post  here. This bikini runs true to size, I love the side and back (of the bikini top) three straps and rushed floral bottoms. The top ended up a bit tight on me (size S) so I should have went for a size medium, while the only thing I don't like that much about the bottoms is that the inner lining turns outwards on the edges. Other then that, adorable bikini.

Are you on your dream vacation already?

We are now in Dubrovnik for about ten days but only last three have I been on vacation so my boyfriend and I decided to make it short but absolutely relaxing and zen. Our daily routine is now to go to private beach at Palace hotel in Dubrovnik where there is only about five people there max, we order morning coffee and some fruit for starters, have a swim and read our favorite magazines and books for couple of hours while sun bathing and sipping our favorite cocktails.

Those of you who read my blog regularly might be already guessing my favorite flavors, just like in cosmetics - berries, vanilla and coconut.  Alcoholic or virgin, I like to keep my cocktails as low on sugar as possible, fruity and creamy.

Drunk fruit.

Choose your alcohol. I like to choose vodka (obvious choice) but you can also choose red whine if you want to make it as a sangria or brandy or grappa. Don't choose to cheap but not to expensive liquors either.

Choose your fruits. Usually I choose seasonal fruits but like blueberries (vodka), apricots (Eu de Vie) and pineapple (rum) the best. Remove peels and skins plus any part of the fruit that you wouldn’t want to eat: Stems, pits, cores, and seeds.

Pack & wait to be done. Fill a clean glass jar or bottle with fresh, cleaned fruit and top off with liquor and  close the lid. Place in a fridge until the flavors infuse (anywhere from a week to a month). Shake the jar every few days. When you’re happy with the flavor, strain out fruit and pour infused spirits into a clean resealable glass jar or bottle.

Mojito.

Ingredients:
2 small branches of mint leaves
1/4 cup of white rum
2 tablespoons of simple syrup
2 tablespoons of lime juice
a bit of Angostura bitters (not mandatory)

Preparation: Use a muddler or handle of a wooden spoon, beat 1 mint branch in a cocktail shaker. Add rum, simple syrup, lime juice, and bitters. Fill with ice, cover, and shake strongly 20 times. Pour into an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with remaining mint leaves.

Ingredients:
Quarter cup of sugar
2 fresh coconuts
1/4 cup canned unsweetened coconut milk
1/4 cup light rum
1/4 cup gold rum
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
Ice cubes
2 lime slices (for garnish)
2 maraschino cherries (for garnish)

Preparation:
Bring sugar and a quarter cup of water to boil in small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cool this simple syrup.

Cut off top 2 inches of coconuts and set a side the coconut water. Mix a quarter of cup simple syrup, coconut milk, light rum, gold rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, and 1/2 cup coconut water in large cocktail shaker. Fill with ice; cover and shake strongly for about 20 times. Pour all from the shaker into coconuts, dividing equally (don't strain in). Garnish each with lime slice and maraschino cherry. Serve with straw and spoon for scraping out fresh coconut from inside of shell.

Enjoy! :)

This weekend (19th & 20th July) and next weekend (26th & 27th July) in my capacity as Trendcy curator and buyer I helped organize Sample Sale and Pop-Up Shop for selected Trendcy designers among which are young and talented designers like Kralj & Krajina  from Zagreb and Vjera Vilicnik  from London but also established designers like Kate Almighty  and Hippy Garden  from Croatia and  The Wandering Collective from Spain.

I am in love with Vjera Vilićnik's gorgeous lace tops and silk dresses with couture embroidery! Check out this wonderful floral dress I tried (one more left UK size 10 so send message to Trendcy if you want to grab the last pair).

Another personal favorite are definitely Kralj & Krajina Fall/Winter 14'. collection dresses, turtlenecks and vests! They are super warm and comfortable (and short but I love it) with military details on the shoulders and all in white, nude and camel. I think they go perfectly with Valentina Brugnatelli's   amazing costume jewelry!

Shop Kralj & Krajina's Fall/Winter 14' collection   here.

One of the most popular items on Sample Sale here in Dubrovnik was most definitely dresses by Kate Almighty who designed wonderful cotton dresses with low cut back with lace details.

Not only these are super comfortable and can be worn with or without a bra but you can wear them belted and as a dress in Summer and tunic in Fall and Winter, on top, they are super affordable, this blue one is only 40 Euro or 300 HRK.

Join Trendcy Sample Sale  and shop designer items on discounted prices via e-mail  or if close to Dubrovnik visit us at Sebastian art gallery.

It’s not You, It’s me.

After almost six years working in P&G I let my heart lead the way and decided to do the right thing, to follow my personal values and principles and prioritize my personal life over career.

This decision wasn’t hard but it was certainly emotional one and I believe I made it at the right moment in my life. I never thought I would say that, but I got tired of traveling and moving from Zagreb to Maryland, Connecticut, New York,  Zagreb again then Budapest. I finally decided to settle for a while in Barcelona.

Obviously, there is more then just ten things I learned from working in ER (officially External Relations but in all reality I learned it’s rather Emergency Rescue) department of P&G, but as a PR person and a blogger I know that article title which start with number and seems like it’s out of a self-help book or looks like a tutorial with useful information attracts more attention and generates more clicks. ;)

1. SET PRIORITIES.

Multitasking, good personal and team organization skills and knowing how to set priorities are most important to survive daily work in P&G and to grow within the company but also as a person and as an entrepreneur.  Always know your personal and your businesses ROI but when making tough decisions - put people first. From day one of working in P&G you will be assigned to do real meaningful work, you will not be asked to make coffees, print and copy all day long.

There is not many real couture masters left, I think Stephane Rolland is definitely one of them.

Rolland always plays with sculptural shapes when designing his gowns which hug, celebrate and emphasize female curves and build the luxurious works of art around them just like painters do with their paintings.

Watch the story behind collection below:

All red carpet star quality dresses are made to stand out and impress by the quality of craftsmanship, exquisite attention to detail and amazing dramatic volumes which almost build a gown from women's shape up made from most luxurious fabrics by one of the best couturist today.

Do you have a dream dress already? If not, you will have one once you are finished with looking photos bellow!

As always, immaculately tailored but this time less mythical, historical and more wearable McQueen's new Resort collection for 2015. is made for women to wear, to wear it confidentially and be noticed.

Collection pieces have rich cuts and clean silhouette of coat dresses or slightly A line dresses. My favorite pieces are definitely maxi 3D organza petal floral gowns and wide leg trousers with matching pattern shirt.

Sarah Burton referenced famous painter Matisse's collages of human forms on her coats and abstract floral motifs. These below three remind me of Prada a bit but are definitely 'wear all life kind of coat'.

"Every day, I love what I do and I think it's a gift and privilege to love your job."
