Working with over hundred designers now as I am curating and doing fashion buying for Trendcy.com I continue to hear them calling the collections trans-seasonal, meaning they don't classify them as much anymore as Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter. Those that do still classify their seasons then have also pre-Fall and Resort capsules or full blown collections which many claim to sell better (Roland Mouret saids pre-seasons makes 70% of his sales) then their seasonal ones.

Personally I also stopped doing seasonal sale shopping or looking at my clothes as war and cold weather clothes, living in much milder and urban climate of Barcelona in Spain now I am also more interested in trans-seasonal items. Now in (very) late 20s I am looking for good quality classic pieces with modern, urban twist which with proper care I can wear for multiple seasons for couple of years or more and style in various ways for work and play.

BURBERRY PRORSUM
My favorite resort 2015. collection is most definitely Burberry Prorsum. I love brand's modern take on pencil skirt and urban twist to iconic trench which they manage to cleverly update each season.

Burberry Prorsum resort 2015. collection features beautiful cashmere v-necks and sweaters, casual, romantic and floaty evening wear - I am a total sucker for these maxi silk long sleeve, sheer dresses which I can definitely wear in Summer on sandals and in Winter and Fall with boots and leather jacket. Collection contains also beautiful silk shirt-dresses, librarian length pencil skirts in various fabrications and prints, wide collared pea coats and of course reworked traditional trench coats.

DKNY
Dona Karen continues to celebrate street spirit with her fresh resort 2015 collection. Although my favorite pieces which you can see below on photos are romantic and soft blush pink and red feather dresses, oversized coats and lace dresses and skirts, collection also featured graphic black and white elements, crisp button up shirts, lame pleated skirts and loose trousers all in tomboy cuts accessorized with canvas baseball caps.

ROLAND MOURET
Designer Roland Mouret invests a lot in his pre collections as they make majority of his sales, he stayed true to his signature cuts and fit, so we could see as always beautiful fitted silhouettes which make confident, classy and sexy work and play wear. Color pallet was fresh with orange sorbet, mint and touches of blue, white and back on his signature draped front dresses worn with elegant and very practical flat pointy sandals. As always Roland's collection is comprised of perfect looks for smart semi-formal dressing.

MAXMARA
MaxMara was always a safe place for me to go and shop for work clothing and all of the pieces I got there I still own for now five years and still look new so I can certainly testify on the quality and longevity of their pieces. Although the prices are a bit high, number of wears you will get out of each piece will definitely justify the investment.

MaxMara resort 2015. collection titled street lux is definitely reminding me of beautifully put together, expensive but practical and chic work wear of New York City women. Collection features slouchy pants, beautiful double face cashmere coats (my favorite is this pink and gray on the picture below), mink jackets, loose sweaters (definitely trans-seasonal items) and gorgeous leather and cashmere pencil skirts (my personal favorite) all accessorized with chunky chain jewelry for that streety hip-hop touch and popular metallic velcro sneakers for comfort during daily commute. Absolutely gorgeous collection!

I will be definitely saving up for a pencil skirt and coat from one of these three collections! True investment pieces which will for sure serve me well for many years to come!

To tell you the truth I cannot remember when was the last time I wore hoop earrings, probably the same year I wore denim overalls and they are now both making a huge comeback. I feel like they had their IN moment in 90's and then went from trashy to ghettoish to cool again. I guess one can say the same about most trends.

With now living in Barcelona, Spain I feel like I might give another chance to hoop earrings especially when I can now justify it with going with this local Spanish look so I did a little research and tried to find a couple of modern, contemporary pairs of hoop earrings which might survive over and through turbulent IN and OUT of trend moving.

When it comes to jewelry I feel much more safe when ordering online then with clothing so I try out and test new website more often first with ordering small jewelry pieces to check quality. The most common problem I find is color/metal fading, especially with rings and bracelets.

I bookmarked bellow pieces to order which I hope I'll be able to nicely mix, match and combine with various looks all through Summer with romantic lace dresses, silk tops and rompers, but also past Summer in Fall and Winter with turtleneck (yes I will wear soft cashmere one) and pencil skirts or cigarette pants and stilettos.

When was the last time you wore hoop earrings? Do you plan to add them to your jewelry box? :)

Everybody has their favorite pair of jeans!

We feel good wearing them, they fit perfectly, we love how our butt looks like and they go with every outfit we can imagine. My issue with jeans is usually length. The type of jeans that usually fit me well are long and skinny jeans with a bit of elastin. Usually I stick with two trusted brands and buy black or dark blue colored denim so I don't experiment to much with different fits and colors.

Well, this was until I discovered Dragonfly by JClaire and their Barcelona tile straight leg white jeans with hand painted Barcelona tile motives.

Since I live in Barcelona I was inspired to look for similar motives around the city and found some interesting frescos at Plaza Espana which also served as a great place to take photos and bring Barcelona tile jeans to their 'home environment'. :)

JClaire creates wearable art through the use of soft fabric paint dry brushed by hand one color at a time, building and blending coordinating colors to give the design a fade-in fade-out effect.  Some pursue happiness, others create it.

Other then great quality of these american made jeans I love how unique they are with their patterns and (Thank You Joan Claire!) perfect butt fit and leg length. They came packed in beautiful reusable cotton eco bag and the story behind the brand was written on a beautiful note.

Philanthropy is one of the key aspects of this brands mission so 5% of net profits goes to causes that need funding to help advance their mission be it research, awareness or education. Some of these are Human Rights Campaigns, Children Cancer Research etc.

Owning a pair of Dragonfly by JClaire painted jeans is for that independent, unique individual who wants to make a statement with their own original look.  Unlike mass produced printed jeans, each garment is individually hand painted specifically for You! :)

One of my top three favorite shows on last weeks Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb was most definitely    Kralj & Krajina's   Fall/Winter 2014. show. This is designer duo's second collection, they are both still attending fashion design school in Zagreb and last year they won Dreft Next Generation contest, award from which helped them sponsor their first collection and fashion show. You can shop their Spring/Summer 2014. collection on    Trendcy.com.

Kralj & Krajina Spring/Summer collection got amazing media and shopper feedback so American fashion startup Trendcy took upon to sponsor their next - Fall/Winter collection which they finally shown last week on Zagreb Fashion Week, again, with blessings of local fashion media and bloggers.

"We named our next collection Angriff, from the name you can read that our inspiration was militarism, but on feminine way, we hope audience will react well on our fashion attack. "

Kralj & Krajina

Ladies have showed us mature and wearable collection designed out of great quality fabrics like cashmere, cotton and wool staying true to their minimalistic and feminine signature. I feel like Kralj & Krajina girls have grown up and matured a bit this season. I love how they combined military details like shoulder cuffs, bondage strap details over coats, faux fur dress and ultra chic pink backpack which reveals their 'hey I am still in school' side.

Read full interview with Kralj & Krajina    HERE.

Kralj & Krajina collection features a couple of beautiful coats in white, nude and caramel, maxi and pencil skirts with high slip, a couple of short Winter cocktail dresses - sleeveless with turtle neck collar or deep open back slit and a couple of gorgeously tailored two pieces combined of cropped cigarette pants and short and chic matching jackets.

Every modern working girl should have at least one of these pieces in her closet comes Fall.
Effortless feminine chic. I got a beautiful long nude and white wool/faux leather vest from their SS 14' collection and got so many compliments on it!

Which is your favorite piece?

One of my favorite collections on   Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb last week was most definitely   +Maison Marquise  show for Fall/Winter 2014. Fabulously organized and prepared designer Bori Toth designed an ideal collection for every working women's closet.

Maison Marquise collection pieces feature an ideal balance of business chic for the day at work and unpretentious glamour for the after work hours. Designer has hand painted and signed the oriental birds pattern on bright yellow, pink, nude and blue luxurious fabrics such as silk, cashmere and wool for the coats, viscose, jersey, cotton and synthetic-natural mix of fabrications.

Collection pieces - dresses, pencil skirts, blouses and coats were decorated with leather collars and patches, gold hardware, matching belts and semi-circle patent leather large clutches.

For the second day of the fashion week I have choosen the yellow dress with leather collar and tear drop open back with my Lei Lou by Alex Dojčinović purse.

My favorite piece in this collection is most definitely this bright yellow leather pencil skirt which also comes in nude. I love this piece because it is so classic but also versatile and I can imagine wearing it on grey t-shirt and flats but also for work with a white blouse and black stilettos and partying at night with cute tank top and great piece of jewelry.

For closing of the show Bori choose beautiful maxi silk dresses with beautiful back button up and belts.

Knowing the top quality fabrication and immaculate making, these pieces are really affordable and every women should have at least one in their closet! Get yours now on    www.trendcy.com.
