What are you usually eating for Christmas morning? My boyfriend and I have a tradition of eating a very rich brunch and then a late dinner as we like to sleep in.
For brunch I usually prepare this amazing Italian Olives, Bacon & Cheese bread and then we eat it with mushroom omelet, rocket & tomato salad with some coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice.
I usually thought that making a bread just takes to much time and it's complicated so I never tried to make it but last two years I have been preparing this bread, it's really super easy and its so delicious it's gone in minutes!
I recommend that you read a full recipe with tips before you try to make it so you don't repeat my mistakes and so it comes out even more delicious for you! :)
INGREDIENTS
1 large onion
100 g (3.5 oz) bacon
4 eggs
148 ml (5 fl oz) of white wine
98 ml (3.3 fl oz ) olive oil
250 g (2.5 cup) all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 g (1tsp) of baking powder
150 g (5 oz) grated swiss/cheddar cheese
200 g (7 oz) cooked ham
100 g (3.5 oz) black pitless olives
100 g (3.5 oz) green pitless olives
2 small spoons (2 tbsp) chopped fresh parsley
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 180C (360 Ft).
In a large bowl, whisk together liquid preparation: the wine, oil, eggs and salt.
Next, in separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder and stir it into the liquid preparation.
Chop the onion and fry it in a skillet with a bit of olive oil on medium heat, once onion get's golden color add the bacon and cook for a few minutes, drain the oil and set a side (onion & bacon) for a minute. Cut the olives, parsley and cut the ham to small pieces.
Add all ingredients (onion & bacon, olives, parsley and ham and grated cheese to the dough mixture and mix well.
Pour into a well oiled or buttered loaf pan (I used 9 by 5 inches). First time I made this bread I lined the pan with baking paper and the bread came out much prettier then this time so if you have baking paper, use it to line the pan!
Bake in the oven for 1 hour at 180°C, test to see if done with sticking fork in the middle - it should come out clean! :)

Bellow is also my favorite Christmas drink recipe, this time without wine because I a pregnant and my 'evil' doctor doesn't let me have any.
INGREDIENTS
3 quarts/2.8 L water
4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed
2 cinnamon sticks (3 inches)
2 cups sugar (or brown sugar)
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Orange slices to decorate & add aroma
DIRECTIONS
In a Dutch oven (or over the stove top covered), combine the water, cranberries and cinnamon. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes or until berries pop, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat. Discard cinnamon sticks. Strain cranberry mixture through a cheesecloth-lined colander. Return to Dutch oven. Stir in the sugar, orange juice and lemon juice; heat through. Serve warm & enjoy!

I am sure all of you ladies agree that shopping for men is much harder then shopping for your girlfriends or your family members.
Most men unlike women don't have a never ending 'want' list out of which they pick something and then try to 'hint' their other half what they want just on time for holidays or birthdays, they just go and get what they need so you really need to pick their brain or think long and hard to get them something they will like. Most men prefer more practical, useful or funny gifts versus us ladies who just 'have to have item of our desi(gn)re'.
Last couple of years I managed to find more great gifts for my boyfriend browsing online shops then by going around the stores in shopping malls. Rather then getting one bigger gift I try to put together a variety gift box with some small stocking stuffers like: socks, boxers, travel games, t-shirt with funny sign or coffee mug and then one or two bigger items I am 100% sure my boyfriend will love. If there is a chance I try to customize at least one of the gifts with his initials, jersey number or a name.
