After I showed the photo of my wild mushroom and chicken risotto on   Facebook some of you asked me to share full recipe. I did follow principle of cooking chicken with mushroom and wine from recipes on my  Pinterest cooking board but as I don't like to follow all of the rules, I just kind of improvised with knowing what me and my boyfriend like and this risotto came out magnificent! :)

I used wok rather then the pot or pan to cook it as I feel like it cooks faster and chicken is nice and soft.
Since here in Barcelona I can find some beautiful selection of fresh and dry wild mushrooms I used full pound. It took me about 30-45 minutes to prepare this dish and it feeds 3-4 people.

2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 pound fresh or dry mushrooms
2/3 pound chicken breasts (cut into small thin pieces)
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of fresh-ground black pepper
5.5 cups of chicken broth or stock
1 tbs of olive oil
Half or big onion or 1 medium size chopped
1.5 cups of arborio rice (the one that is more rounded)
1/2 cup of dry white wine
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbs chopped fresh parsley

1. Heat butter in wok on medium heat, add mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes with steering until browned and add chicken cut into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper and cook about 3-4 minutes until chicken is done.
2. Bring broth to shimmer in a separate medium pan.
3.  Remove the chicken and mushrooms from the wok. Heat olive oil in the wok and add union, steering until translucent - about 5min, then add the rice and stir for about 2 minutes.
4. Add wine to rice and a bit more salt (3/4 spoon). Cook with steering until all whine is absorbed. Add half of shimmering broth to the rice as well and cook until absorbed as well. Continue adding broth to rice until soft, if needed add some warm water as well. Rice should be cooked al dente.
5. Stir in the chicken and mushrooms and the Parmesan cheese, then parsley and heat through for another 3-4 minutes. Serve risotto with some more Parmesan to taste.

Voila! Bon appetite! :)

Seems like couture houses like Chanel and Dior are speedily adjusting their offering to millennial shoppers and last Spring Couture 2014. is another good step towards the winning the heart of us - millennial shoppers. That is, given that we have 3,000 pounds for these super cool space sneakers made by Massaro for Chanel.

The presentation of Chanel show was reminiscent of Art Deco of Hollywood 30's while collection could not be more futuristic mixing python, lace, brand's staple tweed and pearls. To emphasize athleticism Karl accessorized collection with metallic couture elbow and knee pads which I almost like as much as Chanel surf board and beach bag-hula-hoop from few seasons ago.

My favorite pieces in this collection were crystallized garments in casual and almost pajama cuts.

If we step of the runway we can also see international athletic wear giants like Nike going luxe with gold and silver Nike Air-Max and amazing black and pink Nike Roshe running shoes.

New Nike Air Max - $150 (sold out on Net-a-porter)

These are one of my current favorite sneakers - Nike Roshe Run (100 Euro) in black and pink, you can buy them   here.

Last week I was asked to participate in a seasonal blogger outfit report for one of th emost popular Croatian lifestyle portals  BudiIn. As it was raining for days in Budapest I finally decided to take photos of one of my  favorite cotton dresses (yes, you are guessing right in leopard print) by popular Croatian designer   Lei Lou by Alex Dojčinović and I paired it with multi-functional cardigan (also by Lei Lou brand), my vintage Ralph Lauren belt, H&M necklace and new pair of  Hoss Intropia suade booties.

Since I work in communications department for large multinational company I need to be careful how I dress. Usually I attend a number of PR events and media meetings daily during the work week but I also meet with international designers during weekends and evenings for my   Trendcy buyer's job so ripped jeans and casual wear is definitely not in my weekly wardrobe plans but it also doesn't suit my personal aesthetics either.

Ok, I don't wear leopard print head to toe every day but I do much rather wear dresses, heels and pencil skirts then jeans and casual wear. To be perfectly honest. If I could, I would wear couture gowns on a daily basics with a D&G crown on my head. ;)

Anyways, if you like my a tad over the top leopard print look from the photos you can vote for me on   Budi In portal by signing up and then clicking on a vote button on the right from the photo collage.

P.S. Today I am also announcing the winner of   Ženski rokovnik on my blog's   Facebook page so check my page later tonight to see if you are the lucky winner! If you still haven't joined but would like to participate all you need to do to enter this   giveaway  is to sign up for my blog's   bi-monthly newsletter.

Good luck lovelies!

Couture fashion week in Paris, my very favorite, THE fashion week recently started and I have been looking forward and following live almost all shows so far and Atelier Versace show was one of my favorites so far!

Inspired by power goddess Grace Jones Versace's well known silhouettes were glamorized with drape skirts and hoods and covered with rhinestone-embroidery. I personally adore high leg split dresses and skirts for long legged girls but together with such an immaculate tailoring, draping and handwork it looks even more dramatic and luxurious.

I love how wearable the sexy black sheer jumpsuits are and even though I have always had some kind of irrational fear of wearing them due to potential camel toe and flood (to short on the ankles as my legs are super long) this time, I am looking to get one evening wear jumpsuit for upcoming Spring.

I totally wish it could be Versace Couture!

Which are your favorite and least favorite pieces of Atelier Versace Couture collection for this Spring?

After couple of email and  Facebook messages after posting a photo of ground beef and vegetable pie I made on a night my boyfriend had a late away game so he flew back just around 4 am. I really wanted to make sure he eats something healthy and warm so I started making it around midnight (I know, I am crazy), I know I wouldn't be able to fall asleep anyways, so I used this time to try something new.

Anyways, this was about ten days ago, I made it again yesterday before traveling to Budapest and added some things to recipe. This pie can last for couple of days in the fridge so you can just take one or two pieces at a time, warm it up and eat with soup or salad. On top, it is really easy to make. If I can make it, you can make it as well for sure! :)

Illustration by Lana Hudina, DuckAss - buy it here.

Last week I had a pleasure to interview young and talented designer and illustrator from Zagreb - Lana Hudina, Croatia who made a name for herself with her DuckAss brand featuring beautiful, modern illustrations with famous Zagreb landmarks and Croatian inventors. Not only Lana is creating paper illustrations but she launched a whole new type of Zagreb souvenirs ranging from Tshirts, cotton bags, umbrellas to coffee mugs and coasters which could be purchased via her online shop or in selected souvenir shops.

How did you come up with the idea for this new souvenir for Croatia and telling the story of Croatian history on such innovative way?

Idea for souvenirs came after I was asked to illustrate calendar for one of my clients. The theme was Croatian Inventors. After I came up with the characters for each of the inventors I decided to reuse and replicate them on different items with card attached telling their story, educating the owner on who this particular character represents and send them out to the world! :)

I grew too really like these characters, they motivated me and I continued to build on this story so number of characters grew. Then I came up with second series of illustrations including famous landmarks of Zagreb and now I am preparing a third set of colored illustrations. Tourists really love them but we still need to tell them the story behind it.

Croatian_Inventions by Drazen Zeljkovic and Lana Hudina

Who are the characters which you are drawing and where do they live?

Even before Croatian inventors I came up with different characters in regular, daily situations, I am daily drawing new little creatures which are climbing up the cake, rolling crapes, play tennis or walk their dog.

Which topics inspire you most other than Croatian historical characters?

I have to admit that I prefer to draw characters in regular daily situations which I illustrate in the way to look interesting and cute. I’m mostly inspired by people around me, my friends, boyfriend, parents and regular people on the streets. The whole idea for DuckAss brand started with me drawing professors and fellow students during the lectures and it still remains to be the main inspiration.

The main characteristics of my illustrations are over-exaggerated dimensions which give my illustrations humorous side. All of my characters live happy lives in my notebooks, they were all created without using computer and are drawn by hand on the paper, which is my favorite way of working.

Where can one purchase souvenirs with your illustrations?

There is more and more stores selling my souvenirs but I would like to reach out to more outside of Zagreb, so far they can be found at stores in Zagrebu, Losinju, Pula, Zadar and NP Krka. The full list of stores is on my website but all items can be ordered via my Facebook page and email as well. People are often ordering customized illustrations as a gift for their loved ones.

What is the Price range of pieces you illustrate?

The prices differ, but the range is anywhere between 20 and 200 HRK (3-20 USD) depending on the type and size of the illustration, type of print etc. Now when new tax system is applied prices grew a little bit.

Since recently products you illustrated can be purchased in popular multi-brand store Iggy, what are your plans for the future?

I am very happy with collaboration with Iggy! My products sell very very well in Iggy store and store team is great with explaining the story behind the brand to shoppers which is really important to me. DuckAss brand used to be just a hobby to me but this year I plan to put more time into it as it became a growing business. I have more plans but will not reveal them all right now.

Where did your illustration travel and what objects did you illustrated by now?

I have to say that my illustrations traveled to more places than I did! :)

All from New York, Australia to Montenegro, Oslo, London, Brasil and East Africa. Many people buy my illustrations and illustrated items as gifts to friends they are visiting abroad and that makes me very happy! The most popular items are t-shirts, coasters, piggy-banks, coffee mugs, puzzles, fridge magnets, umbrellas, pillows and illustrated cotton bags.

You can find Lana's beautiful illustrations on her  website and  Facebook page.

I posted photo of this simple light meal - curry chicken with coconut milk on my   Facebook and   Instagram and I got many emails and comments so I promised I will share it on my blog. Last week my boyfriend came back from away game at about 2 am and I was just finished working around the house and had a late night inspiration to make this, as it doesn't take to much time and not at all many ingredients + I love everything with coconut in it! My kitchen smelled heavenly (of coconut) while I was cooking.

This is the   recipe I used as a base, but I changed it a bit as it wasn't salty enough and I like my onions sliced much thinner.

It takes about 15 minutes to prepare it and 45 min to cook it (rice included).
It's enough for 3 people, in my home for two of us only. :)

First I cooked a coffee cup of basmati rice in two coffee cups of water with a pinch of salt and a drop of olive oil.

It takes only few ingredients to make this meal!

4 boneless chicken thighs
1 (236 ml) cup of thin sliced onions
1 potato cut into small squares
5 cloves of garlic
1 can of coconut milk (13.5 oz / 400 ml)
2 tbsp of curry powder
1 tbsp of cumin (powder spice)
2 tablespoons of butter
Olive oil
Salt, as desired

1. Slice onion and garlic into thin slices, cut chicken and potato into small cubes.
2.Melt butter in wok or large saucepan and add curry and cumin powder to it, mix it on low heat so it doesn't burn. Add coconut milk to it and shimmer on low heat until you complete steps 3 and 4.
3. Saute garlic and onion on olive oil in a separate saucepan, when softened add chicken and potato (cut into cubes).
4. Once chicken is cooked (turns white) add some salt (I also add half a spoon of Croatian spice called Vegeta) add the mix of chicken, garlic, onion and potato to coconut milk mix and shimmer on high heat until it boils (8-9) and then turn to medium heat (6-7), cover and cook for about 30 minutes. Check on potato and chicken if done.

Serve over rice and enjoy! :) Bon appetit lovelies!

If you decide to try it, please let me know how you liked it!

Ok, so the new year is here. It started with, well, just another day. Hangover day, feeling kind of lazy kind of day. Just another ordinary day and lots of new hopes and dreams. So how do we organize our thoughts, dig deep in our heart and our head and really, truly decide to change or improve our life as of January 1st of the new year - 2014.? New year new me! Sounds familiar?

I started setting my new years resolutions mid way through college, at the beginning they sounded quite dreamy, idealistic and vague, and as you might be guessing, many I didn't manage to complete. As I was growing up they became more structured and precise. Although quite a creative and 'in a world of my own' as a child, I always did know what I wanted, I just wasn't sure always how to get there.

This year setting my new years decisions wasn't all that hard. I woke up with slight headache at 2pm, made my favorite pancakes with raspberries, blueberries and bananas with champagne for breakfast and opened my   Ženski rokovnik planner from last year to review how many of the last years decisions I completed.

With a bit of luck and a LOT of hard work and persistence I managed to complete about 95% of set goals. What's left was 'to complete photography 101 course'  for which I have promptly booked a slot here in Barcelona last week as soon as I unwrapped my new DSLR Nikon camera which my boyfriend got me for Christmas.

If you didn't get to complete all of your resolutions ask yourself if you still feel strongly about them, if yes then transfer them to this new year and if not, just cross them out. As we grow up, our priorities, needs and desires change, so do the goals.

"Old ways won't open new doors."

#2 LIST ALL OF YOUR DREAMS AND WISHES (no matter how crazy).

Temporarily I jotted down my goals for 2014. to my iPad notes, until I get my hands on new leopard print   Ženski rokovnik planner. Then I went for a walk with my dog Papi (for some reason walking around helps me think) and after I came back I separated my goals to three groups: private, business and blog related goals but this might be different for everyone, depending on your priorities.

Then under each of the three I listed 2-3 priorities for example, under Private I wrote:
Relationship: to stop working by 6pm daily and spend time with my boyfriend and my dog Papi.

Important note! Before you move ahead to step #3, really edit your goals, they need to be actionable, clear, realistic, challenging but achievable within 365 days you have ahead of you. Keep them up to five if more time consuming or up to 10 if you have mix of short term and a bit longer term goals.

For example. a goal like 'buy a car' is not realistic goal if you don't have a job jet and no money, so set them in priority order.

"The new year mean's nothing if you're are still in love with your comfort zone."
Rachel Wolchin

In order to motivate yourself and make your goals more then just words on a paper write a sentence or couple of words on how you will achieve this particular goal. For example. If your goal is to pay of your credit card, first thing you need to do is get the scissors and cut it to pieces, throw it away and then call your banker and schedule a face to face appointment to discuss a plan suitable for you to pay it of within the shortest time possible.

As the last point for each of my goals I set a time frame in which I want to complete it, for example, photography course I am attending is in February, so as a deadline I wrote 'end of February'. If my goal is more long term like  (we are only talking about things you can complete within a year) 'to loose 5 kg' then I will break it into monthly goals to be more inspired and to monitor my progress, so the deadline might be by May 1st and then it would make it 1kg/month maybe.

We had a great time and ate some great food for holidays, now it's time to get our butts up and start working on our goals and dreams. The point is not to place a check mark on some list, the point of this is to improve and grow as a person, to become happier. Keep your new years resolutions list 'alive' and visible. Print it out and put it by your mirror or set yourself a deadline reminder in your iPhone or iPad, or like me, add it to your planner where you will be reminded to it daily, whatever works, just start somewhere and don't e discouraged if you don't complete it all 100%, hold yourself accountable and NEVER, EVER give up!

"You musn't be afraid to dream a little bigger darling!"

What is your new years resolution?

Fill in the gap: I resolve to _________ .

Looking back at 2013. I feel humbled, grateful and motivated. I moved to live in Budapest, Hungary for work and continued to travel monthly to Barcelona where my boyfriend lives, I relaunched my blog and changed it's name from La Passion pour la fashion to LaKatWalk to make it more true to who I am today and to better fit to where I am heading, due to nature of my job and long distance relationship I traveled a lot so this year I LaKatWalked through Brussels, Vitoria, Milan, Barcelona, Dubrovnik, London and Budapest and shared my experiences with you through   travel category of my blog.

Due to generosity of my blog partners you also had a chance to win wonderful gifts from   Estee Lauder make up,   Ženski rokovnik planners and   Picard purse and passport cover,   AddMyBerry t-shirt and wonderful headphones by   Nove Boja Zvuka.

The top 3 posts you liked the most in the past year were:

Now when 2014. has started I actually feel excited and motivated, it feels like a clean slate, new page turned and it is a new opportunity to review last years goals, both accomplished and those left unfinished and set more realistic ones which are true to what I really want, challenging but realistic and precise but let me share more on the way I am setting my goals in the next post. ;)

As I got a beautiful new 'blogger' Nikon camera for Christmas from my boyfriend, now you can expect some more of my personal outfit photo and video posts combined with travel journals, as well as more beauty and recipe tips coming in 2014.

This year my boyfriend had a practice on the January 1st and his parents came over to visit us for holidays here in Barcelona so we didn't partied to much,we rather stayed at home until just a bit after midnight, ate some of the snacks and finger food I put together (yes, you can also expect more recipe posts in 2014. :)) and then went to our favorite restaurant-lounge in Barcelona with a couple of my boyfriends teammates to celebrate.

How did you celebrate the New Years lovelies?
